Thanks everyone

Well the Christmas Holiday has come and gone, and once again it turned out to be a very good Christmas. It is, as always good to be able to share, even if it is just but a short time with my sister Tammy and her husband Del for the holiday. And always good to share it with the rest of the family. But this year has been extra special for me, we have our new granddaughter to share it with, and as always grandparents get to spoil the grandchildren, and I say my wife Karen had done a pretty good job at that. I also was able to share my Christmas in long time with my very good friend Ajay. Its been nice being able to rekindle our long time friendships and like I said it has made this Christmas seem all that more special and thank all of those who I was able to share it with, for it truly has been just like I think Christmas should be.

Graceland at Christmas

Here are some pictures of Elvis's living room and music room. The piano in the background is where friend's and family would join Elvis in song's. He would also do some recording in this room too. I had also included a picture of his 14 foot long white couch! ( that's bigger then my whole living room.)

This was our first stop on our weekend excursion this was a plaque in the sidewalk in front of his house.
This hear was the bed Elvis and his twin brother was born in.

This in the same room as the bed it served as bedroom and living room both

This is the kitchen and dinning area.

As you can see the house was quite small, it was a two room home that was built by Elvis's Grandfather, and Dad. Elvis's Dad and Mom had to borrow 180.00 dollars from the land owner to build. But later Vernon (Elvis's dad) was put in jail and so, because Elvis's mom was unable to pay back the loan they had to move out and live with the Grandparents of Elvis.

Our weekend fun

This weekend we went on our trip, we started out in Tupelo, Mississippi, we visited Elvis birthplace. Then we to Mempis and took the Graceland tour. Had such a good time they said the tour usually takes about three and half hours for the "Platinum Tour" package, it took me just under five so much to read and see.

Just starting out

I never thought of blogging before but after keeping watch on my sister's i thought it look like a good way to keep in touch with my friends and family and be able to share a little bit of my simple but good life......I'm not that good with this kind of stuff but I guess it doesn't really matter because it is me right? I hope to be able to keep up with it but sometimes, I have a tendency to be lazy.
